Double Curtains

Double curtains combine a sheer curtain and a thick curtain. Filtered light during the day, blackout at night: complete versatility.

Double curtains are mounted on a double rod (one track for the sheer curtain, one for the thick curtain). The sheer curtain faces the window, the thick curtain faces the room. Both should be the same length.

Mistake: double curtains of different lengths. Sheer and thick curtains must be at the same height for a harmonious look.

You can opt for various materials such as linen, velvet, or even silk for both the sheer and thick curtains. This will allow you to create different atmospheres according to your desires.

You can match the colors and patterns of the sheer and thick curtains for perfect harmony, or contrast them for a more dynamic look. Consider the entire room for a harmonious result.

The width of double curtains should exceed the window width by at least 30 cm (12 inches) to achieve a beautiful drape. In height, they should reach the floor for an elegant effect.

You should regularly clean the sheer curtain with a simple vacuuming, and wash the thick curtain according to the manufacturer's instructions, generally in a machine or at a dry cleaner.

You can add tiebacks to hold the curtains open, or eyelet tracks or rods to facilitate their handling. Decorative tiebacks are also a nice option.
