The most common materials for tablecloths are linen, cotton, polyester, and coated fabrics. Linen offers a chic, wrinkled style, cotton is more classic, while coated fabrics are more practical and easy to maintain.

To harmonize the tablecloth with your decor, you can choose a color that matches your other textiles, such as curtains or napkins. You can also opt for neutral tones like white, beige, or grey, which will easily adapt to different styles.

The size of the tablecloth should be adapted to your table. Generally, the tablecloth should extend about 20 to 30 cm beyond the table edges for a harmonious look. For a table seating 4 to 6 people, prefer a 140x200 cm tablecloth, and for a table seating 8 to 10 people, opt for a 160x260 cm tablecloth.

To care for your tablecloth, follow the care instructions on the label. Generally, machine washing at 30°C with a delicate cycle is recommended. Then iron your tablecloth inside out to preserve its smooth and rumpled appearance.
