Bonding Primer

A primer coat improves the adhesion of the finish paint. It evens out the surface and prevents stains from bleeding through.

Choose the right primer for the surface: universal for plaster, special wood primer for woodwork, fixing primer for chalky surfaces. White or tinted to match the final color.

Mistake: skipping the primer step to save time. Without primer, the paint adheres poorly, absorbs unevenly, and stains bleed through.

An adhesion primer is generally recommended for difficult surfaces such as glass, metals, plastics, or smooth surfaces. It improves the adhesion of the finish paint on these surfaces.
