Adult Loft Bed

A loft bed places the sleeping area high up. With a desk or a walk-in closet underneath, it doubles the surface area of a studio apartment.

Mistake: a loft bed in a room with a low ceiling. You should be able to sit up in bed without touching the ceiling (at least 80 cm above the mattress).

Wood is generally the most suitable material for an adult loft bed, as it offers solidity and aesthetics that fit well with this installation. You can also consider metal structures, which are robust and stylish.

For an adult loft bed, we recommend opting for a double bed size (140x190cm or 160x200cm) to ensure a comfortable sleeping space. Also, make sure that the ceiling height of your room allows for a safe installation.

To properly light your adult loft bed, you can install recessed spotlights in the ceiling or pendant lights directly above. You can also plan for wall sconces on each side of the bed for ambient lighting.

Under your adult loft bed, you can install practical storage furniture such as a wardrobe, drawers, or shelves. This will allow you to optimize the space intelligently.

For the safety of your adult loft bed, ensure that the structure is perfectly stable and securely fastened to the wall. Also, install safety rails on the sides to prevent falls, especially if children use this space.
